The addition of the War Memorial Hall gym on Virginia Tech's campus has doubled the amount of student exercise recorded in on-campus workout facilities.

          Virginia Tech opened a second gym for its students, War Memorial Hall, to alleviate overcrowding at McComas Hall. War Memorial is a state-of-the-art facility that offers 25 Olympic-level amenities, including a pool, dive well, racquetball courts, fitness studios, a boxing gym, and more.

The opening of a second gym has reduced wait times at War Memorial and McComas Halls, which students have appreciated. It has also brought new opportunities for student-athletes, such as a physical therapy suite, table tennis courts, and advanced workout equipment. This expansion provides Hokies with more options for quicker, less crowded workouts on campus. ​
